At the recent press conference for Thor Ragnarok Valkyrie actress Tessa Thompson revealed she wants an all-female superhero team-up movie and she’s already working with other women from the MCU to make it happen. Thanks to The Playlist, the outlet found an interview in which Thompson said she recently marched up with a couple of other women who work in Marvel and asked Kevin Feige: “How about a movie with some female superheroes? Like all of them?”

In a report from Variety, Hasbro is making moves to become the next Marvel by hiring Greg Mooradian to oversee the company’s film division now dubbed Allspark Pictures. As president of Allspark, Mooradian will oversee film and television production starting in January, with sources for Variety saying the company is trying to attract funding in the nine-figure range to properly develop its own slate of films in house – films based on their line of toys and games that include Mr. Potato Head, Monopoly, and My Little Pony.

Focus Features officially announced via their website that Paul Thomas Anderson’s next film starring Daniel Day Lewis will be entitled Phantom Thread. The film, which will be Daniel Day Lewis’ last before he retires, is a drama set in the couture world of 1950s London.

THR reports that Conrad Vernon, the co-director of Sausage Party, has come on board to helm MGM’s animated feature version of The Addams Family. The original creation started as a single panel illustrations by cartoonist Charles Addams that appeared primarily in The New Yorker, which was then later turned into a television show in the 1960s, an animated series in the early 1970s and a pair of hit movies in the early 1990s that starred Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia and Christina Ricci.

Early THOR Reactions Are Outstanding, Zelda Movie Chances – The John Campea Show

Early Thor reactions and Disney lifting embargo early

D.Mims – love your channel John. Thanks and keep it up! My question is. With new Bumblebee movie coming, do you think it would be for the best that it is set on cybertron? Whether it is an origin story, a prequel or even a stand alone. The most common complaint I’ve heard from fans is the movies are about Sam and Cade’s story, not the transformers themselves! BUT it is a new talented and hungry director!

PATREON Supporter Van Spear – Hey John glad to support you and your work on Patreon. My question is about Nintendo and their ownership of the film rights to Legend Of Zelda. I have always thought out of any game this game would hold the most potential , possibly LOTR or Star Wars potential if done right. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

Desmond Kingston – Yo! We haven’t heard any drama about The Batman in multiple months! I feel like this is a very good thing, but I still find it kind of weird that we don’t know anything about cast or shooting dates. Do you think they are keeping things quiet for the release of Justice League? Just wanted to know your thoughts on this. Thanks and keep up the great work!

Paul Nelson – I was thinking….. with the studios trying to find the next best money maker. I think anime will be the next craze. Specifically anime to live adaptations. Yes Death Note sucked, but we have to start somewhere right. I think it could work pretty well. Anime has some really great stories. Your thoughts?

Daniel Vasquez – Greetings John from Albuquerque, New Mexico! a month ago, you mention that parents won’t take their kids to see “Coco” because the movie is about death and losing your love ones. So I want to know if you think that “Coco” will be a flop like “The Good Dinosaur”

Patrick Mohan – Why is it that Mission Impossible 5 performed slightly worse at the box office than Mission Impossible 4? The 4th film was highly praised by critics and audiences, and was considered the best in the franchise by many when it came out. The 5th movie made a huge amount of money as well with $682.3 million, but still grossed $12 million less than the previous installment. Why do you think this is?

Ofek Shekel – Hey john. I love your show and watch it everyday. Based on what Elfman said and Henry Cavill’s picture I have a theory about superman in the justice league movie. I think that he comes back to life by Darkside and will be a villain and wear is black suit. By the end of he will return and will be good and wear his regular suit. What do you think?

David Cocca – Greetings from Hamilton John! Yesterday you discussed why the world didn’t know of Batman before Superman came along but how about Wonder Woman? Wouldn’t she be in the history books especially after what happened in no mans land?

James Walsh – Hello John and thank you for taking my question. I was just wondering what are your opinions on the film critic Armond White? Given he purposely bashes critically liked movies , do you think his reviews should be counted on rotten tomatoes?

Patron Supporter Kevin – I finally received my MoviePass card. However, I’m concerned the system has a significant drawback. I love going to the Thursday night openings of tent pole movies. Since these tickets often sell out in advance, it doesn’t seem MoviePass will be of much use for these shows.. What’s your experience? Thanks!

Focus Features has released a new trailer for Joe Wright’s historical drama Darkest Hour. Scripted by The Theory of Everything’s Anthony McCarten, the film stars an unrecognizable Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill and begins on the eve of World War II, chronicling Churchill’s difficult push to get England to stand up to Nazi Germany and enter the war rather than negotiate a treaty.

A new international trailer for Thor: Ragnarok has been released online showcasing some new footage specifically geared to the Chinese market overseas.

Lionsgate Premiere has released the first trailer for Gotti starring John Travolta. Directed by Kevin Connelly, the film spans three decades and follows the rise and fall of crime boss John Gotti as he tried to build the Gambino Crime Family both during and between his stints in prison.

In a new interview with Billboard, Danny Elfman offered up some new details from his Justice League score, including the fact that he’s going back to some iconic DC character themes from previous films and implementing them in new ways – including using John Williams’ iconic Superman theme, but spun in a different way.
