Unbelieveable AIRBUS A380 HARD CROSSWIND LANDING during a STORM at Düsseldorf – 4K

I have filmed a few thousand crosswind landings at several airports in Europe within the past years, but this Airbus A380 crosswind landing was extremly hard and extraordinary. At first it looked like a pretty normal crosswind approach but after touchdown the pilots tried to align with the runway which looked pretty incredible. I have never seen such a tremendous reaction of an airplane after a touchdown. You can see that the pilots tried to align with the runway by using the tail rudder and luckily it worked out.

This video shows the incredible skills of the pilots. Even after an unexpected wind gust after touchdown they managed to re-align with the runway. Incredible job by the pilots !!

Watching an Airbus 380 is always interesting and a pleasure to watch. I would realy like to know what the passengars thought during the Arrival today at Düsseldorf.

Focus Features has released a new trailer for Joe Wright’s historical drama Darkest Hour. Scripted by The Theory of Everything’s Anthony McCarten, the film stars an unrecognizable Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill and begins on the eve of World War II, chronicling Churchill’s difficult push to get England to stand up to Nazi Germany and enter the war rather than negotiate a treaty.

A new international trailer for Thor: Ragnarok has been released online showcasing some new footage specifically geared to the Chinese market overseas.

Lionsgate Premiere has released the first trailer for Gotti starring John Travolta. Directed by Kevin Connelly, the film spans three decades and follows the rise and fall of crime boss John Gotti as he tried to build the Gambino Crime Family both during and between his stints in prison.

In a new interview with Billboard, Danny Elfman offered up some new details from his Justice League score, including the fact that he’s going back to some iconic DC character themes from previous films and implementing them in new ways – including using John Williams’ iconic Superman theme, but spun in a different way.

The Batman Starting From Scratch Again – Collider Movie Talk

On this episode of Collider Movie Talk (February 9th, 2017) John Campea, Jeremy Jahns, Kristian Harloff, Brianne Chandler, Natasha Martinez and Wendy Lee discuss the following:

-The Batman plans scrapped, WB starting from scratch

-Arrival producers planning movie adaptation of novel A People’s History of the Vampire Uprising

-Opening this week – The Lego Batman Movie

-Brad Pitt eyeing sci-fi film Ad Astra

-First trailer for Sofia Coppola’s The Beguiled starring Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman

-Oprah Winfrey and Lee Daniels teaming for Terms of Endearment remake

-Female Villains

-Theme Parks and Movies

According to a new report from Forbes, it looks as though The Batman stand alone for the DCEU is going back to the drawing board. Just as we learned Ben Affleck was stepping away from the project as director, Justice League and Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio turned in a rewrite on the project. Forbes is now saying that not only is Matt Reeves still at the top of the list as a replacement director but the WB is also looking to start from scratch again on the script with either a major rewrite or a completely new version.

According to a report from THR, Fox has purchased the rights to the novel A People’s History of the Vampire Uprising by Raymond Villareal and is planning a movie adaptation that will be produced by Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen’s 21 Laps, the filmmakers behind Arrival and Stranger Things. Pitched as World War Z with vampires, the story is a fictional account of the violent confrontation of vampires with the human race. Like the World War Z novel, the book is told from multiple points of view and spans a considerable time period, tracking a CDC investigator who discovers a mysterious virus that helps create the vampires. A search is now underway for a writer and director with a release date yet to be determined.

With Paramount officially pulling World War Z 2 off of its release schedule, Brad Pitt has an opening in his schedule and is interested in the next film from The Immigrant director James Graythe sci-fi pic Ad Astra. Deadline broke the story that would see Pitt taking on the sci-fi heavy film that tells the story about a slightly autistic engineer whose father left 20 years ago on a one-way mission to Neptune in order to find signs of extra-terrestrial intelligence.

Focus Features has released the first trailer for Sofia Coppola‘s new film The Beguiled. The movie is based on the Thomas Cullinan novel of the same name and stars Nicole Kidman as the headmistress of a seminary for young ladies in Civil War-era Virginia. The school’s seclusion is disrupted when a wounded soldier from the Union Army, played by Colin Farrell, arrives and causes problems. The film also stars Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning, Angourie Rice, and Oona Laurence and opens in theaters on June 30th.

According to The Wrap, Oprah Winfrey is re-teaming with her The Butler director Lee Daniels for a remake of the 1983 Oscar-winning drama, Terms of Endearment. Paramount Pictures secured the rights to the project for Daniels to develop, with Winfrey in negotiations to star in the role of Aurora, the difficult mother originated by Shirley MacLaine. Work will begin on the script with a release date yet to be determined.

Why ARRIVAL is Great Sci-Fi

Arrival is one of the best sci-fi films I’ve ever seen and it’s been nominated for 8 Oscars, so the Academy seem to agree. Here’s why I think it’s a great addition to the sci-fi genre!
